A research fellow at Ifri since the founding of the Institute, Philippe brought with him the benefit of his diplomatic experience and vast knowledge, wherever he went. A member of the editorial board of Politique étrangère, he also co-directed Ramses with Thierry de Montbrial from 2002 to 2015. Author of numerous works, he brilliantly represented Ifri’s image to all its audiences. May his family and loved ones take comfort in this testament to the loyalty and affection that the whole Ifri community held for him.
