A Conversation with Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to President of the United Arab Emirates
On Saturday, December 14, during the 17th edition of the World Policy Conference (WPC) in Abu Dhabi, an exceptional discussion took place between Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the United Arab Emirates, and Thierry de Montbrial, Founder and Executive Chairman of the French Institute of International Relations (Ifri) and the WPC.
Anwar Gargash shared his peaceful and optimistic vision for a prosperous and dynamic Middle East, despite the current challenges facing the region. He addressed key ongoing issues, including:
• The destabilization of Syria following the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime.
• Iran's destabilizing role in the region.
• The ongoing conflicts between Israel, Gaza, and Hezbollah.
This dialogue shed light on the UAE's perspectives for a more stable region and explored potential solutions to overcome tensions and build a shared future.
