A conférence with Fadi CHEHADÉ, President and Chief Executive Officer of the ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers).
Pushed forward by the tremendous growth of the digital economy and the consequences of Edward Snowden's revelations, the governance of Internet is now at the first rank of the international agenda. This governance is notable by the absence of central authority and the role played by a constellation of private law instances, raising many expectations from the States, the civil society and the economic actors. Chehadé will talk about the current great challenges of this governance and the role the ICANN can play in it.
Chair: Thomas GOMART, Director of Ifri
