Practical information
The outcome of Russia’s war with Ukraine remains uncertain. After a series of setbacks during 2022, Moscow has managed to stabilize the front line, to contain the Ukrainian counter-offensive of summer 2023, and is now threatening Kyiv’s positions. How might the balance of power evolve? What are the strengths and weaknesses of Ukraine and Russia? This war has rapidly taken on a regional and even global dimension. What are the successes and limitations of Russian efforts in the “Global South”, and how can the West counter them? Could tensions in the seas around Russia escalate? How is Moscow conceptualizing and waging its war against the West on its borders and in the Euro-Atlantic area?
