Research Fellow


Marie Bassi holds a Masters in International Relations from the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. She is currently a PhD candidate at Sciences-Po Paris investigating the local governance of migration issues, focusing on the South European area and more specifically Sicily. As an Associate Research Fellow of the Center, she coordinates the programme "Migration policies and international relations" and the Palermitan part of the SUCCESS project, which examines the notion of citizenship in the neighbourhoods of four European cities.

Her research interests are on Migration policies, the local dimension of immigration, the mobilization of local stake holders on migration issues, particularly in Southern Europe.
