China today is a major actor in international relations in political, economic and strategic terms.

Chinese foreign policy is increasingly dynamic. China implements new strategies towards both major powers and developing countries, and is defining new approaches to such important issues as regionalization in Asia, energy and the environment.

With the emergence of China as a global power, global interdependence between economies is also on the rise, and as a consequence so is the necessity to gain a better understanding of the challenges and impulses shaping China’s external strategies and policies.
